The Grant County Health Department is offering free drive-through tests to the public.
A COVID-19 community testing site in Fennimore will open Wednesday, October 7 hosted by Southwest Technical College at the Public Safety Complex driving track.
Testing will be Wednesday, October 7 from 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
Officials say those who want to be tested should enter the testing site from County F, south of Highway 18, and follow signs. (Map)
Appointments are not required, but it is requested that those who wish to be tested pre-register at https://register.covidconnect.wi.gov.
Testing is open to anyone (age 5+) who feels they have a need to be tested. Minors must be accompanied by a parent or guardian with consent.
Those who might visit a community testing site include:
- People with COVID-19 symptoms
- People who have had close contact with someone who tested positive for COVID-19
- People who have regular exposure to a large number of people (e.g., people who work in grocery stores)
- People who work closely with high-risk populations (e.g., healthcare workers, people who work with people who are incarcerated, people who work in long-term care facilities)
